- Avoid any supplier that says “should fit” and can't give a written delivery date. When a VIO35-6A is down, vague is not a plan.
The value of guaranteed turnaround isn't speed; it's certainty. For a contractor waiting on a part, a guaranteed Wednesday beats a possible Monday every time. Because possible is not a schedule.
It took me six years and 120-plus emergency orders to understand that. I still buy aftermarket when it makes sense. But after all the 3 a.m. calls, I've come to believe the real comparison isn't OEM vs aftermarket. It's certainty vs guess. Genuine Yanmar parts and proven aftermarket options both have a place.
